The manual tong is used to fasten or remove the screws of drill tool and casing in well drilling operation .The handling sixe of this type tong can be adjusted by changing latch lug jaws.
The manual tong can be adjusted by changing latch lug jaws, there are below types of tongs:
*AAX type manual tong is used in size from 2 7/8” to 13 3/8”, and fastening or removing screws of drill pipe , casing and coupling
*The type SDD Drill Collar tongs is used in size from 4” to 17”
*DB type manual tong is used in size from 3 1/2” to 17”, to make up or break out the screw.
